'RAZOR' RUDDOCK EVENING
Razor strangles Charlie Birleson (19) for causing Liverpool to lose game to Sunderland!
Charlie was the owner of the beach ball that went onto the pitch and diverted the shot
into the Liverpool goal. Razor was not impressed when he found out the boy was in the room.
Although Charlie is a staunch Liverpool supporter, his dad Martin is a Sunderland fan
who thanked his son for the win!!
LEE SHARPE

England football hero Lee Sharpe visited Warminster on Saturday 20th June in a display of patriotism
after declaring his support for the town’s inaugural St George’s Day Festival to be held next year.
The star, who has played for Manchester United and Leeds United, visited Prestbury Sports Bar in
The Close as the ambassador for the festival, on April 23, 2010, and said that playing for his country was
his proudest moment. Owner Nick Pitcher said: “We asked him what he thought about the festival
and he said it was about time people celebrated St George’s Day instead of St Patrick’s Day.
He is very pleased to see a town doing it and he is very pleased to support us.”
Warminster mayor Cllr Tony Nicklin started off the evening by launching the 2010 festival,
before Sharpe hosted an hour-long talk and signed autographs.
Mr Pitcher said: “Lee said he couldn’t believe he spoke for an hour long. It was such a good crowd
and he really enjoyed himself.
He did a question and answer session and when it was all finished he stayed on and had a drink.”
A full house of more than 120 people turned up to watch the star, who has played for his country eight
times. In total he played 265 games for the Red Devils during eight years there, scoring 36 goals.
Since retiring, he has been working as a TV personality on the BBC’s Match of the Day,
ITV’s Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Wrestling.
